A few years ago I was planning an anniversary trip to Florida with my hubby and I stumbled across the Hammock Beach Resort. It’s located right on the beach with a Spa, 2 golf courses, a lazy river and tons of other activities. We had so much fun that we brought the kids back for a second trip. Located on the Atlantic Ocean in Florida and nestled between Daytona Beach and St. Augustine this breathtaking beach resort on the Palm Coast has so much to offer. Visit for a weekend getaway or a full week of vacation ~ whether you want to relax on the beach or partake in activities there is something for everyone! Keep reading as I share my top things to do at Hammock Beach Resort.

Condos and Suites available in the main area of the resort.
Resort Activities
Pools ~ The resort has 5 pools including an indoor pool for those rainy Florida afternoons. The Fantasy Pool Complex is the perfect place for families. It has a water slide, adult pool, zero entry pool and a lazy river! They also have a poolside bar and snack bar with plenty of choices for food and drinks. My advice is to spend the morning at the pool and go to the beach in the afternoon. During busy times of the year the Fantasy pool complex can get crowded in the afternoon. There are also a few small pools located around the complex if you want a quieter place to relax.

Beach Time ~ The resort provides easy access to the beach with plenty of amenities like lounger chairs, umbrellas and towels that are available free of charge. With those Atlantic beach waves you will have tons of fun swimming in the ocean, building sand castles or collecting seashells.

Convenient Beach Access
Other Activities ~ Head over to play a little miniature golf or other games on the lawn like cornhole or croquet. Ready for a bike ride on the beach? There are plenty of trails to explore the scenic property and surrounding areas. Like to work out? The Fitness room has state of the art equipment and is free with your room key.

Games on the lawn
Two Championship Golf Courses ~ The Ocean Course offers stunning views of the Atlantic Coastline and the Conservatory Course is inland and one of Florida’s most challenging courses. So if you like to play golf then you are in for a treat and need to plan a trip with your buddies soon!

Golf Course with amazing views of the ocean!
Spa and Wellness Center ~ relax at the full service on site spa. Experiences include massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, hair design and so much more! Nothing better then an amazing massage after a day of golf!!

Dining:
There are several places to dine at Hammock Beach Resort. The restaurants include:
Delfinos ~ which focuses on Italian favorites, angus meat selections and seafood.
Loggerheads ~which is a pub like atmosphere with a bar and TV screens.
Sushi Bar ~ is a smaller restaurant and obviously serves……sushi!
Atlantic Grille ~which is located in The Lodge closest to the ocean. We ate here for breakfast and dinner and it was wonderful. We were able to sit on the balcony that over looked the ocean and we had fantastic views. I would definitely book a reservation as this restaurant is very popular and there was a long wait when we were there. My husband ordered the scallops and I ordered the pasta and it was out of this world. They are open for Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. By far one of my favorite places at any resort I have visited.

Accommodations:
The great thing about Hammock Beach resort is the many choices of rooms that meet the needs of your family.
- Large villas that are 2-3 bedrooms with full kitchens and laundry room.
- One Bedroom suites are smaller with kitchenettes.
- 3-4 Bedroom Condos come with a full size kitchen laundry room and sleeps 6.
- The Lodge is a small boutique-like hotel on the resort property with just 20 rooms. The Lodge is just steps from the beach with picturesque views. The rooms have all the amenities of a nice hotel including a small refrigerator.
If you are vacationing with a large family and enjoy the condo life I would recommend the suites, condos or villas so you can spread out more. You will also have a kitchen which makes it easier to run back to the room for a bite to eat. (this will save you money ~ trust me those restaurants onsite can get expensive) If you enjoy more of the hotel life and are vacationing with your spouse or a small family then you might enjoy The Lodge which is more like a hotel.

The Lodge is a boutique hotel right on the beach.
4 Fun Facts
1. The Ocean Golf course is one of a few golf courses in Florida with 6 holes directly on the Atlantic Ocean! It’s often referred to as Florida’s “Pebble Beach” because of the stunning coastal views.
2. Do you like to surf or boogie board? You can rent a board at the beach for hours of fun. The waves were awesome when we were there so if riding the waves is your thing then you will love this!
3. St. Augustine is just 23 miles away and a perfect day trip. It’s an adorable Historic downtown with plenty of shopping and food to eat. Did you know it’s the oldest town in America? It was founded in 1565.
4. If you are driving in from Orlando be sure to get off the highway in Daytona. We took a picture in front of the Daytona International speedway and ate at a place across the street at One Daytona. One Daytona has shopping, plenty of restaurants and even a movie theater.

St. Augustine is just a short car ride north of Hammock Beach Resort.
So if you are dreaming of a serene coastal escape then Hammock Beach Golf Resort and Spa should be on the top of you list. It’s more than just a getaway ~ it’s a destination with tons of fun and adventure. Whether you’re lounging by the pools, playing on the beach or enjoying the resort’s amazing amenities there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
